The Board of Charity (JBG), in alliance with Scholas Occurrentes, an international organization of Pontifical Right created by Pope Francis, announces the implementation in Ecuador of Scholas Ciudadan\u00eda<\/span>, an innovative educational program that promotes youth participation, values, and the culture of encounter.<\/p>

Scholas Ciudadan\u00eda<\/span> will bring together 300<\/span> young people between the ages of 15 and 17, representing more than 30 public, private secular, and Catholic schools, at the Sports City of the Board of Charity from September 29 to October 3, 2025. During the week, the young people will investigate problems in their community and develop constructive proposals, strengthening their leadership and sense of belonging. The initiative seeks to promote more inclusive, supportive communities and highlight the work of the Board of Charity (JBG) in the formation of young people committed to social transformation. <\/p>

Through a collaboration agreement, the Board of Charity (JBG) and Scholas Occurrentes are promoting an innovative methodology in Ecuador that integrates sports, art, and values education, with the aim of providing children and young people with a comprehensive education that strengthens their personal and social development.<\/p>

\u201cAt the Board of Charity, we believe that true social transformation begins with youth. For this reason, we work hand in hand with an organization that shares our vision and of great international prestige such as Scholas Occurrentes to offer young people training spaces that integrate values, citizenship and social commitment <\/em>,\u201d said Juan Xavier Cordovez, director of the Board.<\/p>

Scholas Ciudadan\u00eda<\/span> is the first initiative of this agreement in Ecuador and reflects the philosophy shared by Scholas Occurrentes and the Board of Charity (JBG), which integrates sports, art, and values education. Through this methodology, young people will strengthen their investigative skills and learn to develop constructive proposals for the challenges of their community, cultivating leadership and a sense of belonging. <\/p>

\u201cFor Scholas, Ecuador represents a unique opportunity to demonstrate how education can transform communities from within. Our purpose is for young people to discover meaning in what they do, think and feel, to build together a culture of encounter that transcends borders,\u201d said <\/em>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda del Corral, world director of Scholas Occurrentes.<\/p>

The closing ceremony of this important program will take place on October 6, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the Agora of the Sports City of the Board, with the participation of young people and the presentation of their projects to the authorities.<\/p>

With this initiative, the Board of Charity (JBG) reaffirms its commitment to work for the education and training in values of Ecuadorian youth, generating enriching opportunities for thousands of children and young people in the country.<\/p>
